American Bankers Association BankPAC

What is BankPAC?
BankPAC, the political action committee of the American Bankers Association and the largest PAC to represent the commercial banking industry, raises funds within the banking community to support candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. The issues confronting the 112th Congress will continue to have a direct impact on your livelihood and the way your bank operates. BankPAC helps your individual political contribution work harder and go further by pooling it with other bankers' donations to strengthen the impact of our industry's message to candidates running for federal office, ensuring that our voices are heard - and heeded - on Capitol Hill.
How Does BankPAC Select Candidates to Support?
Candidates receiving BankPAC funds must understand banking industry needs and support a free, competitive financial services environment, based on demonstrated interests and (in the case of incumbent) committee assignments and voting records. BankPAC's budget for candidates is developed in close consultation with the state bankers associations and the ABA Government Relations division, and with suggestions from member banks.
If you know a candidate who deserves BankPAC's support, contact your state bankers association or the BankPAC office at 202-663-5117.
How Much Should I Contribute?
Whatever the amount, your contribution is appreciated and will be used effectively - 100 percent of BankPAC funds go directly to candidates; nothing is used for administration or fundraising
Thank you for your vital support!
